To enable maritime ports, airports and international rail terminals currently handling goods imported from the EU to access funds to build the necessary infrastructure and facilities to enable customs and sanitary/phytosanitary checks to be carried out at ports following the end of the transition period

The aim is to provide a temporary financial support fund for commercial airports and ground handlers in England to support fixed and mandatory costs, basing grant allocations on business rate liabilities for financial year 20/21.
