South Yorkshire Investment Fund Limited
South Yorkshire Investment Fund provided seedcorn, loan and equity linked investments, ranging from £15k to £2.5m, specifically to help small and medium businesses meet the gaps in funding they need for development or acquisitions. Created as part of the Objective 1 programme, the Fund was a private and public sector business finance provider. The European Regional Development Fund and Yorkshire Forward are investors in the Fund. More than 9,100 jobs were created and safeguarded in the region due to the support provided by South Yorkshire Investment Fund (SYIF). The Fund provided three main products, structured to back businesses through critical stages of growth: Seedcorn Start-up Finance, Business Loans, Equity Linked Investments. Almost all sectors were eligible (some restrictions apply) and they will look at capital expenditure, working capital, start-ups, expansions, MBOs & MBIs, acquisitions, mergers and turnarounds. SYIF often worked alongside other finance providers such as banks, and other lenders and can help put together a finance package to meet your needs.
