The Ultra Low Emission Bus Scheme is managed by the Office of Low Emission Vehicles. It supports local authorities and bus operators in England and Wales with the cost of buying buses and charging infrastructure

The CBSSG Restart Funding is to meet demand by reprioritising service provision through the day and on key routes, where required, and to provide sufficient grant funding to enable bus operators to deliver up to 100% of pre-COVID bus service provision in England (outside of London). The service level agreed must take into account any local lockdown guidance. This funding is intended to cover the costs to bus operators of providing such a service, but they will not be able to realise an operational profit from it.
