RSSB has a central role in facilitating collaboration between rail companies to support employees with mental health difficulties. Work capacity support and advice will be provided through a full-time Mental Health & Employment Support Specialist with an understanding of the industry. The Specialist will work with individuals, OH services, HR and mental health professionals to facilitate detailed work-role assessments and recommendations. The project will also use a cloud-based solution to deliver a web platform to facilitate a network for training opportunities/redeployment, so individuals can re-train into a different role whilst remaining in the rail industry if it is no longer possible to continue in their original role.
